i absolutely adore ayisha malik's books, so when i saw the other half of happiness was on readers first, i had to enter. i received the book and let me just say, i love it. ayisha continues with the very familiar narrative of a young, female british pakistani muslim woman, one that i can personally relate with, and continues the story of sofia and conall. i couldn't put this book down, it's not your generic chick flick (although i do love those too) and even if you're not a british pakstani muslim like sofia khan, we can all relate to her and her struggles. she's humorous, relatable, a little tongue-in-cheek, and i loved the dynamics between her and her family, her husband and her hilarious friends. it's one of those books that you can read again and again and i'm excited to see more from ayisha!
