Sofia Khan has just married an Irish man (in secret). A big no no in her Muslim culture. Despite the fact that her husband Conall has converted, the prejudice that she faces from family and society begins to hit her...

Then she finds out that Conall has a huge secret... can her marriage survive it? Does she want it to?

I must admit that I didn't know this was a sequel when I first started reading it. I haven't read the first book, but I can honestly say that you can pick this up without having read it's predecessor.

I also admit to being guilty of my ignorance of much of Muslim culture. I absolutely adored reading this funny, witty and lovely account of a large family with wonderful (and sometimes intrusive!) traits.

I laughed out loud at some of the tongue in cheek comments Malik makes about the ins and outs of the Khan family, and felt sorrow when she touched upon Sofia's fathers passing.

I would relish any other work by Malik, and would highly recommend this story, and most certainly look forward to her new book!

I would like to thank Readers First & Bonnier Zaffre for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
