I haven't read the first Sofia Khan novel, but this did not matter. Within seconds, this book hooks you in.
Sofia has recently married a white Irish man (Conall), who loved her so much that he converted to Islam. In return, she moves to Karachi in order for him to complete a project he is undertaking. Sofia loves Conall but doesn't love Karachi and ends up going back to London to her family. Whilst there, Conall drops a huge bomb shell which is sure to turn their marriage and lives upside down. But how will they deal with it?!
I adored this book. Ayisha Malik is a genius, and I'm going to purchase the first Sofia Khan book next as I have to read the circumstances that lead to Sofia and Conall marrying. This is so easy to read, relatable and is a definite page turner. I challenge you to not fall in love with Sofia (I wish she was my friend)
