The first book (Sofia Khan is not obliged) made me want to read on and never put it down. I’m always vary of sequels but this book did the same to me! The ending was not what I expected. As soon as you think you know what’s going to happen it changes. This is so worth the read! Pick up both the books and get stuck in! Ayisha Malik did an ace job! A mix of humour and reality! Though it’s work of fiction, the characters give a great insight of life as a Muslim in Britain. The main character is married to a white man which feels so taboo in the Asian culture. I feel the book also shows the struggles of marrying outside of your own race. There’s many issues explored in the books. As much as I found this book to be a great page turner it also brought back a lot of home truths. It’s partially educational. I’d recommend this to everyone and anyone!
