I genuinely loved the first book so when I was given the second in the series, I snapped their hands off.
Sofia Khan is one of the most hilarious characters I think I’ve ever read about. She’s genuine, honest and completely and utterly relatable. I thought the idea of bringing the Muslim dating world to a book was brilliant. I also think this second book grew and developed nicely too to show that marriage isn’t all songs, flowers and romance.
Going through a range of different problems in her life means more challenges and obstacles for her to overcome. But as a reader, we are right there with her.
I genuinely enjoy these books and would read them over and over again for sure.
I don’t think the second book is as magical as the first, but then I didn’t really expect it to be. It’s just a very good book in its own right, which is all you can ask for really!
