The first few pages I was wondering who these characters were and whether I liked them and then ‘wham’ I was hooked. It just took one line ‘He’ll steal my soul.’ Then suddenly the characters take on a whole new dimension and the beach location starts to feel quite desolate. Is Rob all he seems or someone stolen his soul?
