Although the opening seems fairly standard for a psychological thriller and I already know I wouldn’t trust Rob with a barge pole, I have decided to claim this book purely on the stories potential. With Kate’s brain injury and her previous skill as a police super recogniser there is so much to explore. Whether Rob is gaslighting her is just one of those things.
