From the description this sounds like an intense read, something similar to ‘Now You See Me’ perhaps? Rob is described by Kate as her guardian angel type, bringing her out her shell after a tragic accident that has left her unable to recognise faces and carry on her passion for painting people. Little snippets of his behaviour through the first pages suggest there is something sinister lying underneath his actions and I’m hoping this turns into a story where Kate gets back to herself and figures out Rob’s dark secret? This is right up my street, secret and mystery! I also love the narration from Kate’s POV as it makes it easier for the reader to discover new things at the same time as Kate instead of the narrator purposely evading the details we need.
