Similar to Before I go to Sleep - the character is a male, who is in control and caring for the woman. It seems a little cliché. Then she doesn't think it is the same man anymore. In BIGTS the main character has to remind herself of who she is and who the man in her life is. Both have Doctor visits, and I'm guessing, from the First Impressions, that he is vital in her recovery (like BIGTS). I could be wrong and there could be a great twist in this book but, from First Impressions, I think it is identical (or at least too similar) to BIGTS. I've rated 3 stars because it seems a decent, engaging, well written book. It just lost marks on originality.
