A different book to the norm
‘She used to be good at faces. So good they paid her. If you were living a lie, she would see it in your eyes’.
That beginning drew me in immediately. Probably because of the similarities of what I do work wise but still an immediate identification with a book is a great start for me.
This book is different to the norm, the ‘doppelgänger’ idea a contemporary one and it makes you start to question what is going on throughout the story. I always think you should go with your gut feeling about people when possible, and I never once thought that Kate was incorrect in what she was experiencing. Whether I was right or not you will have to read the book to see! 😊 Just when I was thinking it would be a predictable ending I was very much mistaken. Loved it!
