I really enjoyed this book, though found it brilliantly creepy in places.
The story follows Kate who used to use her talent for recognising faces for Swindon police as a super recogniser. Following a car accident, she moves to Cornwall where her current partner Rob is helping her to recover. But one day Kate begins to think that Rob is not who he says he is, but is in fact a doppleganger. Is this just a part of her recovery, or something more sinister?
It is told from the perspectives of Kate, her ex Jake, and a former police colleague Silas.
All of the characters are well written and the story is set predominantly over a week, yet moves along at a good pace.
I really enjoyed this book, thanks to Reader's First for an advance copy. I shall definitely look out for other books by this author.
