I read the first look and the book got my attention from the first line itself. It is very engaging and I believe it will get better as the book progresses. It is truly addictive. Oh I must say that it does includes drug and family abuse and if those topics trigger you read with caution. I really loved how the author has structured the stories and also I love that he used third person POV (Atleast in the part of the story that I have read so far)I believe it helps narrate the story better than when it would be narrated using any other pov. The overall tone is dark ominous and it definitely contributes a lot to the mood of the stories. JS Monroe really knows how to captivate his audience. This is the first ever book I am reading written by JS Monroe. After reading "The other you" I will definitely check out the rest of his work. I give this book a 4 out of 5.
