I loved this book, a real fast paced roller-coaster of a read! Kate was so good at recognising faces that she worked for the police as a super recogniser, picking out faces from crowds and her work led to the arrest of numerous criminals. One day Kate is involved in a road traffic accident and sustains a brain injury, her skills of recognition are gone. In the hospital Kate meets Rob who takes her to his house in the West Country to recover. Tucked away in his fabulous home with the beach on her doorstep Kate begins to recover and her brain begins to mend.
Life is going well until one day she looks at Rob, and knows in her heart that he has been replaced by someone else, that although he looks like Rob he is not Rob. Torn between not knowing if she is really regaining all her skills of recognition or if this is just a symptom of her injury she finds herself in a very confusing and scary place, is Rob really who she thinks he is or is there something much more sinister going on?
This is one of those books that will keep you up reading late into the night, it is a real page turner one you really can't put down until the last page is reached. Brilliant!
