I love a thriller and mystery book, and this one ticked all the boxes.
Kate is struggling through her recovery from a car accident, having previously been a super recognised and no longer able to identify people as she had. Her new boyfriend Rob is caring and encouraging, but one day seems different.
The twists and turns of this story, coupled with three narratives (chapters headed by three different characters), are compelling and keep the reader on their toes. The beautiful location of Cornwall is a perfect backdrop to this somewhat perfect lifestyle, especially as suspicious start to arise. The writing style is easy yet doesn't spoon feed the information or answers, encouraging the reader to think and deduct for themselves. One of the most enjoyable books I've read in the last year.
