I have to say I have taken a long time to get around to reading this but once I started I honestly couldn't put it down. 3 days and I'd finished it and although I thought I knew what was happening and was was about to happen, I was left surprised right up until the very last page.
The characters are well developed and relatable. They made you want to find out more about them and their past and to hope for eventually seeing a happy ending for them. The descriptions of Cornwall were enough to spark my imagination and I could easily visualise the area, people and coastline. The "bad guy" was convincing and the "heroine" was someone I found myself liking and understanding. The side characters all had back stories and again were rounded enough to blend into the story and add to the narrative. All in all a book I am going to recommend and definitely pass onto my friends to read.
