This was OK. I wasn't a huge fan of the writing style but the characters, plot and tension built up did make up for it slightly. I have a hard time believing that a police officer would let a reporter into an active crime scene. Whether he knows her or not, surely it goes against several procedures. It took any realism away and sadly my interest couldn't recover.
