The blurb gives an interesting overview of the idea and general plot of this novel. But, I thought that it made the book seem better than it actually is. The cover made me curious about who the third person involved in the prank actually was.
The first thing I noticed when I read the first impression was the characters. I found that the journalist was quite annoying me, and I don’t know why. I didn’t really feel a connection to the characters. And I wasn’t too excited to see how they would continue in the story. Therefore, I think the characters were badly planned.
I also felt that the writing style was quite chunky and didn’t offer the tension that a thriller or crime novel should have. It was also very monotonous. The idea for this novel was amazing but the writing style really took away from it.
But I would be curious and willing to read more.
