I'm not too sure where the author is going with this one and there is a lot to process in the First Impression - mainly because of the timelines jumping around so much. It starts off at the present day with the death of Nicole and then moves back a few months and then five years. Unfortunately, the First Impression ends there so you can't, as a reader, get a feeling for how this is all going to slot together.

Seems fairly innocuous thus far and pretty standard fare for the genre. Hopefully, there is something within the plot or the characters that will lift it above the pack.
