I love when books are told by the journalist' perspective (Fiona Barton books, for instance). I thinks journalists have a different and nicer, albeit very nosy way of solving cases.
I liked the good relationship between Isla, the journalist, and Simon, the police officer. These two characters are usually archenemies but it seems they have a a good deal here.
I liked the writting style. I think it's quite easy to understand and follow. I love the length of the chapters. I see myself reading this book and saying constantly: One more chapter and I go to bed.
Freya's flashbacks? Oh Yeah! I love to know a little bit of background and how they got where they are now.
Overall, this was a very good beginning. Will definitely read this book!
