The opening is shocking and brings you right into the action. Almost so much so that you forgive the slightly clunky writing style. Unfortunately as the story progresses and the cliches are coming at you thick and fast, you get a little distracted from the main story. It's one of those books that should probably just be an episode of CSI or a throwaway thriller. It's not book-worthy.
