The author clearly knows the elements that go to make arresting opening chapters, a by now established feature of books in this genre. Although I was mildly intrigued to find out how the different women are connected, it didn't really grab me and I wasn't that keen on the sudden changes in timeline. The company Freya works for sounds distinctly creepy - a Facebook gone mad. She should have cleared out the moment her welcome gift showed they knew her favourite kind of chocolate!
