The story is told through flashbacks for the colleague and the reporter of their past. It also alternates this with chapters dealing with each day after the murder for the2 other characters.

The main characters were all likeable in their own way andthe story kept you guessing as to why they seemed so interested in the murder.
The story deals with issues facing females such as rape,bullying, sexual harrassement and stalking but is not too gritty.
