The book starts with the murder of Nicole a talented young woman who worked at Atypical. Freya joined the company some weeks before but soon found Nicole was turning her dream job into a nightmare because of her bullying. Together with her new colleague and boyfriend they play a revenge prank on Nicole which backfires when the next day she is found dead. Isla is a journalist who is fascinated by the case and follows it up even though told to stop by her editor. I liked the short chapters telling the story from different viewpoints and going back and forward in time to build up a picture of the characters. It covered several themes from workplace bullying and harassment, friendship and manipulation.
