This short extract left me wanting more.
I'm not a big fan of prologues and this one doesn't seem to have served the usual purpose of encouraging the reader into the book by describing events in the future. In fact, I was a bit confused by the timeline of the prologue and the first 2 chapters as the narrative jumped about a bit.
Nevertheless, I look forward to reading the whole book and straightening it all out in my mind.
