I found the sample of this book to be very slow paced and nothing was learned in the first few chapters that is not mentioned in the blurb, if anything the blurb gives more information about the direction of the story. Something about the writing style didn't gel with me at first and I found myself rereading sentences to clarify what they meant but once I got into it this problem went away so I don't see it being an issue for the whole book. Taking into account the First Look and the blurb I do think this has potential to be a decent book but I have so many thriller on my to-be-read list currently that I will be giving this one a miss until I have read some reviews on it.
I do like the cover but it probably would get lost in a physical book store amongst the other crime thrillers as it is pretty dark overall which makes it less eye-catching.
