I enjoyed The Perfect Stranger from start to finish, it was a pleasing and enjoyable ride.

This was an easy read which kept me guessing, I found it hard to put down. As the parallel stories of Leah and Emmy unravel you learn more about their motivations and experiences, filling in the blanks gradually as the story progresses. This made for an exciting experience, forcing you as the reader to continually change your perspective as new information is revealed. It becomes clear that the reader maybe cannot trust what Leah is telling us and start to doubt whether Emmy every really existed at all.

In my opinion, the conclusion was a little bit of an anti-climax but ultimately it was a satisfying ending which tied up all of the loose ends. Some elements of the story were not fully explained or made clear, but I felt this was more realistic; we gained only as much understanding in the end as Leah did and weren't made privy to any extra information she didn't get her hands on.

This is the first Megan Miranda book I have read and I would happily return for more. Overall, this was a fast-paced but not overly dramatic page-turner which kept you doubting and guessing until the very end.
