This was better than I expected it to be. I just wanted to keep on reading to find out what was going on.

It follows Leah Stevens an ex journalist now teacher. All she wanted was a fresh start after something that happened in her past and meeting Emmy Grey gave her that. She met Emmy eight years ago and then meets her again, they move away together and become flatmates. She shares everything with Emmy. When Emmy doesn't show up for a few days, Leah doesn't worry at first because she's always been flighty. But when a woman with an uncanny resemblance to Leah is found by the lake, and police come to question her, nothing is as it seems. And when Leah realises Emmy is missing, all evidence or lack thereof suggests that maybe Emmy doesn't exist at all.

This is full of twists and turns, some you can guess at as it goes along but others will send your mind reeling. I have so much sympathy for Leah and what she has both went and has to go through. But there is Kyle (the hot cop) to help her out at least. Definitely a must read for crime and thriller lovers alike.
