I found this book slow going. Although the plot was excellent and the main character well done it just was not un-put-down-able and I felt I had to push myself to read it.
I loved the setting and the atmospheric feel to where the girls lived but feel the tension could have been built up more. The main character, Leah, is cornered into a potentially dangerous situation- all roads lead to her as a liar and a murderer and yet she is barely even questioned....making the ending a bit too neat and far fetched.
This is not a book I would revisit or recommend to others which is a shame as the underlying plot is excellent in theory. The physical oversized paperback edition was uncomfortable to hold.
