Slow start could be good

When I first seen this book on the readers first website I could not resist taking a gander at it. First off with the enticing book title, immediately it is a dramatic dive for a reader to want to find out why that is the band of the book as it could be interpreted for many reasons why it is "the perfect stranger", secondly the front cover stood out it was both simple and effective, thirdly the blurb which was very well-written and straight to the point in explaining the story. That is what especially made me want to read the first chapters. However I was a little bit disappointed with the first chapters because there was not much given away, which I understand in a psychological thriller but the point is because of all the blank pages, short chapters and irrelevant starter pages I found I didn't get into the scene of the book as I usually do. It was a slow start.
