I like a cover where it's easy to read the title and author at a glance and these really stand out. I couldn't quite make out the ilustration but the colour choice makes it look pretty macabre. I should have taken this as warning - the first short chapter is a frightening and horrifying throwback scene.

A swift move into the present immediately relieves the nightmare feel. Momentarily. The mundane journalist at work swiftly moves into mystery and murder.

Detail is well-observed without the luxury of wordiness. Most of the story eems to be shown rather than told. The dialogue between characters and the internal voice of the journalist are realitic and revealing.

If I can find the courage, I'd like to read this story.
