I love intrepid and downright nosy investigative journalists and the risks they are prepared to take and always enjoy the Rosie Gilmour novels by Anna Smith. What makes The Perfect Victim sound like such a thrilling journey is that with Sophie being best friends with Charlie, the stakes are raised even higher. The discoveries and ensuing questions about how well you really know someone must shake a person’s foundations to the core and there is no way to unknow something when you do stumble across it.. even if Charlie didn’t commit the attack, can a friendship ever be as comfortable and relaxed as before?
