Intrigued to find out how the young boy we meet in the first few pages turns into the killer mentioned in the blurb (other than his penchant for torturing animals before murdering his own drunkard of a mother by fire).
The beginning of the story does a good job of setting up the world weary reporter who will be our main protagonist, but the first look pages ended far too quickly so i definitely want to read more to find out how she gets on cracking open this case, and what happens when she finds out she knows the killer.
