I initially was excited by this novel as I am a big fan of psychological thrillers and have read stories by similar authors such as Paula Daly and Sophie Hannah, however after reading about a quarter of the book, I would not be honest if I did not admit that I was not hooked.
I found the characters lacking in depth, the story rather predictable and contrived, the writing style not very exciting and consequently although I did read until the end, I could not wait for it to finish.
Having seen many of the other reviews I can see that many readers enjoyed the story and gave the book five stars, I can only conclude that although I did give it a fair go, this was just not my sort of storyline.
