Oh my gosh! The emotion!

Having read the first few chapters, I can't wait to find out how the future of 'The Boy' pans out.

The book starts by describing the daily struggles of a pubescent misunderstood young lad, living along side his alcoholic mother. He sets fire to his family home and flees.

I literally cannot wait to find out what happens to the boy from this point on, and how he is involved with the stories unfolding, whereby brothers are washed up dead, and bodies are found in the park.

This is the perfect crime story if you love a psychological thriller/ a bit more emotional attachment to the usual run of the mill tales. The characters evoke a huge amount of empathy and you'll find yourself wanting to reach into the book to offer them sympathy!
