Firstly I like the cover! It's creepy and draws you in. I haven't read the first book in the Sophie Kent series (Breaking Dead). Although it would have been nice to read that one first, The Perfect Victim can be read just as well as a standalone story with more than enough information given.
It takes quite a while to really get in to the book I found. There's lots of characters to get to know, and a lot of information whirling around so concentration was needed. However once I got up to speed and in to the story I really enjoyed it. It's a very cleverly crafted story which explains anything that may have confused you in the beginning. I liked the style of writing and I'll certainly be reading more Corrie Jackson books in the future.
