With some books you know straight away from the introduction that it will be a page turner and ,for me,this is one of those. The overview sounds like it will be full of twists and suspense and this type of story is very much in demand at the moment. It's sure to do well.

I wasn't as sure about the cover as some of the other reviewers and actually struggled to see what the image was meant to be showing at first.

The author captured the sense of place and time perfectly with the descriptions. Especially 1988, with the mere mention of '99 red balloons' and Blue Nun wine instantly taking you back there.

I am looking forward to reading the rest of the book and seem to have latched onto the main journalist character very quickly enough to want to find out what's in store for her.
