I love a good thriller. I love a good thriller when they have twists in the book it makes you gasp when you read it. This was that kind of book for me. I didn't know what to expect when reading this book only, that I bloody adored it. I only wanted to read a few chapters before I went on holiday and found myself reading the whole thing on the day I got it.
You know a book is good when it grips you from the beginning and you can't put it down. I just had to know what was going to happen. I guessed all the time throughout it and never once got it right.
In this book we follow two women. Sophie after the murder and Emily, leading up to the murder.
A body has been found and everyone is wondering what has happened. Emily and Charlie seem to live the best life, they look like the picture perfect couple, from the outside. Sophie works with Charlie and they have became really good friends. So, when Charlie is named a suspect in this murder Sophie and Emily don't believe it.
Until Charlie runs.
With no one hearing anything from Charlie. Sophie starts to question everything. Emily is acting strange, Charlie is missing, and there are things in his past she didn't even know about. Sophie starts to dig more into Charlie's past and the connection he had with this woman. How did he know her? Why has he ran? Did he do it? Sophie is about to learn a lot of things about the people she thought she knew and even herself. Can she figure out what happened? Or, is someone trying to stop her? Can she keep herself safe whilst trying to figure out the truth?
This book kept me on my toes. I just adored it. It was brilliant, gripping and chilling. I loved reading about Sophie and Emily. Two different women, both lead different lives but, have something that connects them. The deal with things a lot differently and this will test them.
A fantastic thriller that will have you gripped to the end.
