Really liked the colour and symbolism on the cover, the size of the book and the size of the print.
I don't usually read historical novels but was captured by the original excerpt so was pleased to receive my copy. The rest of the book did not disappoint.
The writing style flowed and was easy to read, how factual correct the story is I do not know but that didn't affect my enjoyment of reading.
After reading the excerpt I was curious to see if the characters continued in the same vane. Happily the main female character does find her back bone only to go on to prove to the main male character that women are not in fact the weaker sex in the most deliciously cunning and unexpected way.
A totally enjoyable historical story that could easily be relatable to current times.
