This was an amazing, well written book. I felt like the story was leading to a very predictable outcome but somehow the author kept redirecting and diverting my expectations at every turn. I really felt that I had the ending sussed out by the time I was one chapter in but I was so pleasantly surprised to be so wrong.
The characters were well written and fleshed out, even the setting was well introduced and very vivid.
It wasn't an epic read and could easily be a nice weekend/week long read, but it is well worth the time just to experience all it has to offer.
I nervously went into the book expecting a world of drugs and such, which I always find off-putting, but this turned out to be more of book to highlight the struggles and rare triumphs of women in the Victorian era.
I do highly recommend grabbing a copy, you will be entertained, whether by the plot, characters or settings.
