The beginning of this book was really good. Rebecca is married to Alexander who is a pharmacist. Rebecca has a good relationship with her maid Jenny but the relationship between her and her husband is a peculiar one as the book continues Alexander makes heroin and uses his wife and one of her friends as a trial run. The book shows us through Rebecca’s addiction and how she gets caught up in her partners past and discovers his sexual fantasies and sordid affairs. Up until the last 100 pages I did enjoy the book however the ending just seemed to drag on and not go out with a bang unfortunately. I would really like to read more from the author though and the cover of the book is extreme beautiful.
