This was such an interesting book. A historical fiction about a pharmacists wife. They are newlywed and a pharmacy has just been opened. Our protagonist is a young and doting wife and would do anything for her husband. That all changes once his business is up and running and a strange woman is lurking around who seems to know her husband.
This is told from the wife's point of view and is quite a slow burn of a book. It's very interesting in the use of drugs in the 1800's. This is very much a thriller/mystery novel and keeps you wanting more. I would have liked some more Pov's. I will definitely pick up other works of this author as I think she did a great job in description of clothes and scenes. 3 out of 5 stars
