Although this is not normally my type of book I really enjoyed reading it.
Set in a time period where women had to be 'proper' and do as their husbands told them to do so gives an insight into how the world worked.
This book seems to be an interesting one and leaves you revelling for answers to questions, even in the first two chapters.
Who is Eva, and why is Alexander trying to keep her a secret from his wife?
I think this book is slow to start off with, but as with many others, gets the reader interested in how the characters roles will play out in the story and leaves you wanting the answers to all the questions swirling inside your head.
