The cover of this book is fantastic, beautiful colors and design. It reminds me a lot of The Miniaturist. This book sounds intriguing and fascinating and a little bit dark - all of which I love. While I am not always a huge fan of an historical novel, this being set in Victorian times seems to suit the plot perfectly and this just adds another layer of setting the scene. 'dangerous path that blurs science, passion, and death' really gives you an idea of what to expect from this book - I'm not expecting light and fluffy. I would be really interested to learn more about the characters and their motivations and the Victorian world that exists around them. I can't wait to get fully stuck into this book!
