I'll admit I'm probably not the target reader for this book. I've never read anything by Stephen King, I don't care for horror and I'm not drawn to books with a supernatural element. However, I do like to challenge myself by reading outside my usual genre from time to time. From the opening chapters, I don't think this is the book to make me take that step. The story lines briefly introduced each had a different feel - dystopian, cold case crime, supernatural - as if they were collected together from separate books. A character 'tending her digital garden' made me laugh out loud though so I guess that's something.
