I'm not sure about this. The end of the first chapter had me gagging (old use of the word) and feeling like I've read so many books with this storyline in it and I'm not here to read anymore (not elaborating so as not to give any spoilers). The mystery element felt interesting though and I started to warm to this story. However then the supernatural element within a modern element combine with the mystery element was a bit much for me. I just can't suspend belief enough for it. Also not sure I can be bothered with the not-romance between the main two characters. There is a lot going on here. I like that you get enough of the book to read to really get a good taste of it.
