After reading the initial chapters at the start of this book I thought this would be a good thriller with some creepy elements thrown in for good measure. I was hooked after the first couple of chapters and really struggled to put it down. It's evident that it's the second book and there are some vague references to the first book about The Anomaly Files but you don't need to have read the first book to understand this one.

Unfortunately towards the end I felt the plot lost it a little and it wasn't anywhere near as creepy as I thought it had been earlier on in the book. What was meant to come across as quite scary wasn't even that interesting and I felt it wasn't a great ending to what had started off as a great read. It was disappointing as I felt I was hooked at the beginning and was left feeling quite underwhelmed after actually finishing the whole book.
