This is a follow-up to 'The Anomaly' and follows the same team of supernatural investigators looking for new material for their YouTube show. This time they're off to a small town off the backroads of America, to look into the appearance of mysterious walls (yep, you did read that right) and the disappearance of a local teenager, all of which may or may not have something to do with witches...
'The Possession' is really easy to read, with likeable and well-drawn characters, and the small town and its inhabitants provide a suitably spooky setting.
The good stuff: this book offers a new take on witchcraft tropes, and has some genuinely unsettling moments.
The bad stuff: the ending feels rushed and a bit muddled, which spoiled the rest of the book for me. I enjoyed the first novel much more.
