Amazing intro and then the rest of the book plummeted. So disappointing. Felt like it was two very different books hacked and put together. It set up this amazing story and was then like oh....you like that story? Well here's a different one, forget about that one. Really frustrating and disappointing. There was a huge hype about this book and it just didn't match the actual storyline. Would seriously suggest sorting the pacing out for this book as it went in a dozen different directions and paces. Others may like it but the main character investigating events was so whiney and depressing, always blaming stuff on other people and events, it was never his fault. Really dragged me down. If you don't like moaning characters then I would steer clear of this one. I really wanted to like this book as the cover was beautiful and really drew me in.
