This is the first book I have read by Michael Rutger and I am not sure I would read others. The premise of the story is the Anomoly group who investigate mysteries for a television programme. They go to Birchwood in Southern California to investigate spiral walls only to find hostility and a missing girl.
There are a few twists and turns and overall the story is good if a little slow. Good characters which fit the storyline but I found some of the language used condescending.
Overall a good read, not sure I would compare it to the master that is Stephen King as the blurb did! The book is entertaining, with a interesting storyline which is different to other books I have read thus I have given it four stars!
