I am a sucker for anything witchy, and a good modern witch tale is hard to find, so I was delighted to find this little gem.
Kristy and Nolan are a separated couple, Kristy is visiting a town to write a piece on cyber-bullying following the disappearance of a local teenager who has been called a witch, online. Her husband, Nolan, is part of a YouTube channel that reports on unsolved mysteries, he believes this will be perfect for their next show so, along with his shows team, joins his estranged wife in trying to find out what happened to the missing girl.
The writing is quite slow-paced but with enough teasers and interesting titbits to keep you slowly ticking over, slow but never boring. It's also very witty writing, I found myself laughing quite a lot at the characters dialogue and internal monologues.
After reading the first 5 chapters as a preview this is definitely something I'll be buying in the near future.
